Productive Activities

OverviewSince my last year of high school in 1992, education has been a struggle. I don't have a problem with the academics, but the demands of formal education combined with my personal struggles just to live life has made it very difficult to pursue everything I would like. I have recently gone back to the classroom and made out quite well.
Last updated Oct. 15, 2003 October 15, 2003It looks like my Open University course is going to take longer than expected. I was hoping to go for the first deadline for my course, October 31. Unfortunately, I have been distracted by the housing situation and the personal fallout from that and I've fallen so severely behind there's really no hope. I still want to finish it before the baby comes, but I'll have to wait until we're moved and at least partially settled before I can really set to work. August 6, 2003Ian and I successfully registered for an Open University short course (12 weeks) called How the Universe Works, which begins in September. We're looking forward to doing something together and learning something new. July 17, 2003I have just finished my Access to Higher Education course at Mid-Cheshire College with very good results. I am surprised I got to the end. It was not academically challenging for me, but the amount of work that needed to be produced was hard, as well as the study skills and communication components were difficult at times. |
