St. Helen's, Witton

Northwich Parish serves the communities of Witton and Rudheath. We have two churches, St Helen, Witton, near the town centre and St Thomas, Rudheath, on the outskirts of town. St Helen's dates back to around 1350, although most of the current church was built in the 15th Century. St Thomas was built as a mission chapel for the canal workers in 1830.

We offer a wide range of services, both on Sundays and throughout the week. St Helen's is open Monday to Thursday for morning prayers at 9.00am and visitors are welcome. We also open on a Wednesday at 12.00noon (except during Lent.) There is a lively Sunday School at St Helen's most Sundays during school term.

There is reasonable access for people using wheelchairs at both churches, although the high altars are up steps. We have toilets at both and a loop system at St Helens. Large print services are available. There is a children's play area at St Helens.
