In April and May my friend, Kis, came to visit.
Kis

My social life and activities. Major events, friends, that kind of thing. Also, travel, holidays, and other leisure activities have been moved to this section. I also enjoy leisure activities such as holidays with my family and socialising on the internet and with friends in real life.

In General

Socialising is hard for me, but that doesn't keep me from trying. I have about as many friends as I would like to have and I socialise enough for my needs, even though that's a fair bit less than most other women. I enjoy entertaining my friends in my home, although I wish I could organise events with more ease.

My Friends

Several of my friends I only talk to online or on the phone. This includes my best friends from Canada, both of whom should be visiting this year - one in only 3 weeks time! I have one local friend I rarely see any more and another whom I met last week.

Current Social Activities

Now I've had several parties including my birthday, Kendra's birthday, Antonia's birthday, and Thanksgiving. Coming up we still have Ian's birthday and possibly a baby shower and/or Advent/Christmas party.

A friend I made at college last year now visits me every week while our daughters are at Brownies. She has also come around several other times, including helping me get the masses of groceries for Thanksgiving.

Travel & Holidays

In my life I have been all around Canada and a bit of the States as well as the big move over to England 3 years ago. Now I enjoy quiet holidays close to home with my family. We go to London at least a couple times a year and about once a year I visit my friend in Cambridgeshire.

I don't anticipate any major traveling myself in the near future, but I am looking forward to my friend visiting in January.

Active Stuff

On March 17 I returned to Pilates, a kind of excercise class. I went a few times while I was pregnant, but never really got into it and started to have problems with dizziness and headaches because it wasn't a pregnancy-oriented class (lying on one's back in late pregnancy can cause circulation problems). I intended to go back after Erin was born, but because of the c-section I couldn't. Now I'm done the majority of recovery from that and really need to build strength back up after so much time in disuse, so I wanted to go back. I was worried about going back because I thought the group I was in would be too advanced by now, so I finally asked the instructor of it (my daughter's ballet teacher) and she seemed pleased and approved my returning to her class.

Church

For the last 4 weeks I have been taking a Bible study course for Lent. There is one week left.

I really want to join the church choir, but I can't get up the nerve to go to a practice.

I used to go to Pram Service (like mums & tots) at church, but I couldn't go last year because of college and this year I keep forgetting. It's also right at Antonia's nap time on our busiest day of the week.
