More About Us

We are a couple in our 20s, both of whom have an Autistic Spectrum Disorder. We live in our own home in the community. We have two children and are expecting another around Christmas time. We don't have a lot of employment history, but are both interested in computers and taking courses from Open University.

The difficulties we have day to day are mainly with keeping up with the housework and personal care routines as well as filling in forms and making necessary phone calls. Although we appear quite capable on the surface, our disabilities are complex and profound. Our behaviour can often be difficult, but neither of us are aggressive. We are both articulate and love a good debate, but have communication problems which are subtle yet significant.
