Reviewed on: Aug. 17, 2003

URL: http://www.aspergersyndrome.org/

Subject: Asperger Syndrome

Rating: *****

Target: Parents of AS kids, AS adults, AS kids, professionals, and interested others (pretty much in that order).

Region: USA

Content: Descriptions and definition of Asperger Syndrome, papers and articles, information for adults, information for kids, support groups, links, and much more.

OASIS is one of the oldest Asperger's websites on the internet. It provides a wealth of information about all aspects of Asperger's. American bias in some of the legal-type information is present, but not too bad. It is the place to start for information about Asperger's on the web. OASIS was started and is still run by parents. They have put together a book called The OASIS Guide to Asperger Syndrome.

The design of the site is not bad. Nothing blinking or doing strange things. The navigation frame on the left is very long, so you have to scroll through a huge list of subjects which can be a bit much.

Overall, a really excellent Asperger's website for general information, legal information, and support.
